Any design, or layout job will require input from
you the client. This will require you to give approvals or to
make suggestions at various stages of the process. This can be
accomplished many ways.
Of course the most reliable proof is to come
to my office and see the actual work.
The next best is an Adobe Acrobat file. I can attach an
Adobe Acrobat File to e-mail. This requires that you have Adobe
Acrobat Reader, version 4 or above (see below).
Here on-line.
By Fax - not good for color and pictures, but easy.
Messenger - best left for final delivery as it adds cost.
FedEx - the most expensive way to go.
Mail - the slowest way to go.
For spot color or 4 color (the
full spectrum of color), work the only truly reliable proof is
a match proof - which requires that film is made and a
match proof made from that. This is exactly accurate but very
expensive. Best left for jobs where quality and exact color
is required.
A great little program for viewing, printing, proofing or
sending files as attachments to your e-mail, it also runs on the
web in your browser - and it's FREE! Far superior quality
to a fax. You might even have it and not know it as sometimes
it open within your browser on the internet. If you have or can
open any Acrobat file or any file with a pdf extension, then you
have it. In Acrobat go to the Help menu - to About Adobe Acrobat
- and to see what version you have. You must have version 4 or
above. I highly recommend it. It should download and install itself.
If you don't have Acrobat Reader, please click on the Acrobat
Logo to download it now. Adobe® Acrobat® Reader®
is free software that lets you view and print Adobe Portable Document
Format (PDF) files on both Windows and Macintosh equipment.
UPLOAD FILES TO DOUG
I do have an online file folder, which is the best way to transfer large files. Email me and I will send a link and instructions.
